Investment Banking Interviews have a reputation for being extremely difficult, as bankers have short attention spans and high expectations for candidates’ technical skills.

While there is some truth to this, IB interviews are also formulaic in many ways, as you can expect the same types of questions in virtually all interviews:

  • Walk me through your resume or “Tell me about yourself.”
  • What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  • Explain how the 3 financial statements change when Depreciation goes up by $10.
  • Walk me through a DCF.

You get the idea.

The point is, preparation for these interviews requires time and effort, but it’s 100% doable if you start well in advance.
