Resume Editing & Pitch Perfection Services

We offer resume/CV editing services, but only if you have signed up for a course worth at least $497 (e.g., the Premium package or the Platinum Annual Plan).

To sign up or request a quote for your case, please contact us.

These services help you craft your resume, refine your bullet points, and optimize it for roles in investment banking and private equity.

After you submit your resume, you will work with one of our coaches and receive a “bankified” version that makes your experience sound as deal-related as possible.

You benefit most from these services if you already have several solid internships or you are working full-time.

You can view a few anonymized “Before” and “After” versions below:

Many clients also find it helpful to get feedback on their personal pitch (i.e., their answer to the “Walk me through your resume” question in interviews).

This feedback and refinement help them answer the most important question in any interview more effectively.

So, if you want to refine your pitch at the same time, you can sign up for the Resume Editing + Pitch Perfection option below:

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How is this different from the support services already included in your courses?

In the courses, we respond to technical questions about interviews, Excel, and case studies, but we do not edit your resume or other documents or provide live feedback on your pitch.

We may provide very high-level feedback on your resume, such as suggesting sections to add or delete, but we do not perform line-by-line edits.

Q: Do you offer mock interviews? Is this a service for mock technical/behavioral interviews?

No, we do not. This is not a mock interview service. It is a service to edit your resume and perfect your answer to the “Walk me through your resume” question in interviews.

We do not currently offer mock interviews because it is difficult to train staff to conduct them effectively, and we no longer receive many requests for these services.

Q: Why should I not just use an AI tool to edit my resume? It's faster and cheaper.

Maybe you should!

It depends on your budget, time frame, and career plans. You will never get the best resume possible if you use tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude to edit it because top humans can always do better by refining your experience and using industry-specific terminology and presentation tactics that these tools are unaware of.

However, if you do not think your resume is that important, you believe it’s already fairly good, or you don’t have much work experience, you might be better off using automated tools.

Q: My resume/CV is already "pretty good." How much will your service help? How can I check?

If you’re not sure how much improvement your resume needs, please contact us and submit your documents once we respond with a confirmation.

Many clients start with resumes that are already fairly good, but still see significant improvements following our edits.

On the other hand, in some cases, we cannot add much value. We can review your resume and tell you quickly whether these services will help.

Q: Do you edit both content and formatting? What about cover letters?

Yes, we edit both the content and the formatting of your resume, but we focus on the content.

We do not edit cover letters as part of this service, as they are no longer major differentiators or required in most processes.

If you want cover letter editing, it would be a separate add-on service.

Q: What if I'm applying to positions outside the U.S., or I am very senior or in business school?

We focus on candidates with between 2 and 10 years of full-time work experience, whether that means you are in business school or you’re working full-time.

Occasionally, we advise university students with significant internship experience, but they typically need at least 2-3 solid entries to benefit (e.g., internships at boutique investment banks or VC/PE firms).

We have worked with candidates in both the U.S. and other countries and sometimes apply different formatting/content standards, depending on the market, but otherwise use the same methods for both.

Q: How much time will you spend editing my resume? Can you give me an hourly estimate?

It depends on how much work your resume needs and where we can add value.

On average, we spend at least several hours on each client’s resume, but this varies based on experience level, the information provided, and the number of revisions needed.

Q: Who are your coaches? Will I work personally with Brian or other founding team members?

Nicole Lee is our Lead Coach and oversees these services. Depending on demand, other coaches may sometimes work with clients.

Nicole has 15+ years of experience editing resumes and advising clients, and previously worked in investment banking, sales, and private banking.

You will not work personally with Brian DeChesare (the BIWS founder) because he has not edited resumes or done 1-on-1 client work for many years and no longer specializes in it.

Q: Do you offer a money-back guarantee on these services? What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds once we have already delivered your resume and/or refined pitch.

This is a service, so we must pay the coaches who deliver the service.

We can offer a money-back guarantee on the courses because they are not tailored to individual clients, and the work is done in advance.

But with a customized service like this one, it is not economically feasible.

If we review your documents and believe you would not benefit much from the services, we will refund your purchase before any work begins.
